The Power of Preparation and Preservation: Protecting Your Home

How many times have you heard “we are living in the last days”? More times than we can count. But how many of us believed it? Not until around March of 2020 did any of us start to believe that we could experience something that some of our parents had never experienced in their lifetime let alone we in ours. Seeing how COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) changed not only the way we do things, but it also changed the very world we live in today. It was the best of times and the worst of times all at the same time.  There were some people who thrived and others whose lives were turned upside down. What made the difference?  I believe God was giving us all an opportunity to strengthen our relationship with him and to know that he was in control. Some had faith, others fear. We were all put on an even playing field. We got the chance to choose. ”If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land“ (2 Chronicles 7:13-14 KJV).

The Bible tells us in Amos 3:7 (KJV) “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." Who are you listening to? God is speaking but are you listening? ”He that hath ears to hear, let him hear“ (Matthew 11:15 KJV ). In this season it is important that you are aligned with the will of God for your life and that you are connected to the right people of God for your assignment.  God is downloading strategies and instructions to prepare his people for what is to come. The Bible teaches us that the sons of Issachar were men who understood the times and seasons they were in and what Israel should do to prepare. God gave them wisdom to align themselves with Him. ”The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.“ (Ecclesiastes 1:9 KJV)

Remember everything is spiritual and we will never understand spiritual things with the carnal mind. If you look around and can discern the times, we are in you will know that it is preparation time. My sister Sinder Coleman-Miller said it best “you prepare for war in the time of peace.” My husband being in the military would also say this, so I have always kept that mindset. Dr. Yulonda Griffin is an excellent mentor and end-time teacher. She has been teaching us to prepare for times ahead. We have canning classes, seed planting for fruits and vegetables. How to prepare for homeownership and how to take care of your health amongst other things. God is certainly speaking to us; he always gives warning before destruction.

While in prayer early one morning I began to listen to an Apostle who I am connected to in this season. He began to speak and tell the people of God what the Holy Spirit was revealing to him. He told us to begin to anoint our body and our homes. Later that same week two other prophets confirmed this same word. I asked the Lord if I was to share this word with others and he said some would be obedient and others will not take heed. So here are some of the instructions that I received from the Apostle. First get you a bottle of blessed oil; if you don't have any oil you may purchase some from the grocer or bible book store. Lay hands on it and pray asking God to bless it. Anoint yourself and everyone in your household. Anoint every window inside and outside. Anoint your front and back doors inside and outside. Pour oil in the front of your house and along the perimeter of your house, also in the grass in the front and back of your house also where you park your vehicle(s). If you live in an apartment do the same, anoint the windows and doors and pour the oil in the front of your door and along the perimeters where you park your car. I am reminded just like the children of Israel put the blood over their doorposts and the death angel passed over it. Sometimes we may not understand everything God is doing but I trust his word. There may be more that the Lord will have you to do so pray about it and let him lead you as to what you need to do.

Remember there is nothing new under the sun.

Prepare! Prepare! Prepare!

If you stay ready you do not have to get ready.
